The Beginning

Where it
all began

A Brand Strategy was founded in 2013 by Afton Baily Griffin after years of leading in-house strategic marketing efforts across education, philanthropy, politics, and luxury lifestyle brands.

One truth emerged: the strongest growth came from clear leadership, aligned strategy, and disciplined execution.

In 2017, Afton was joined by her sister, Brooke Baily Clark, expanding ABS to Wichita Falls and bringing even more depth to client partnerships.

Afton is the founder of A Brand Strategy, with experience spanning consulting, education, philanthropy, politics, and luxury lifestyle brands.

Before leading ABS full-time, Afton served as Lead Project Manager for the National Charter School Resource Center at Safal Partners, supporting the U.S. Department of Education. She led marketing at luxury interior design firm Laura U, Inc., and managed a $1MM+ budget at the Laura and John Arnold Foundation.

Brooke joined A Brand Strategy in 2017, expanding the firm's premium web and marketing support across North Texas from Wichita Falls.

Previously at Children's Medical Center Dallas (2002-2008), Brooke focused on community relations, event marketing, PR, and brand identity. She created the Children's Art Project—an initiative showcasing patient artwork.
